Tomahawk return with Oddfellows

Tomahawk, the supergroup featuring Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard), Trevor Dunn (Fantômas, Melvins Lite, etc), Mike Patton and John Stanier (Battles, Helmet), are set to release their brand new album, Oddfellows, this January.

“It’s dark and claustrophobic here, light and spacious there,” says Denison of the new album.  “Live in the studio, all together in one room. Oddfellows indeed.”

Oddfellows was recorded at Easy Eye Sound Studio in Nashville and co-produced by Tomahawk and Collin Dupuis, and is the band’s first new album since 2007’s Anonymous. It also marks the addition of bassist and Patton’s long-term collaborator Trevor Dunn.

Tomahawk’s first live performance in nearly a decade is scheduled for the New Orlean’s Voodoo Music and Arts Experience in October, while additional dates will be announced soon.
