Norway’s ‘deathjazzambientavantrock’ outfit Supersilent have announced a full UK tour this November, with none other than Led Zeppelin’s legendary bassist/multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones.
The trio, long-term staples of Norway’s avant-garde powerhouse label Rune Grammofon, will bring their improv set to these shores in what is promising to be one of the most intriguing collaborations in recent memory.
Comprising of Arve Henriksen (trumpet, electronics, drums, vocals), Ståle Storløkken (keyboards) and Helge Sten aka Deathprod (electronics), Supersilent will be joined on this tour by John Paul Jones on bass, last seen with rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures and Seasick Steve.
The full tour dates are as follows:
14/11 Birmingham, Town Hall
15/11 Glasgow, The Arches
16/11 Manchester, Rncm
17/11 Bristol, Arnolfini
18/11 London, Village Underground
