Incoming: Belgrade Calling Festival

With the British summer bringing nothing but mud, misery and, yes, more mud to the local festival circuit, it’s time to book a flight to warmer climes, and we’ll be hitting this brand new festival next week.

The inaugural Belgrade Calling takes place in Serbia’s capital from 27 to 30 June 2012, and is already threatening the dominance of the region’s long-running Exit Festival.

Lined up for the mid-week festival are the mighty Faith No More and Ozzy & Friends, headlining a bill that includes Paradise Lost, The Cult, Black Label Society, Satyricon, PiL, Sisters Of Mercy, and Public Enemy, alongside more chart-friendly fare and a final day of local talent.

With headliners hitting the stage after 23:30 (Sisters well past 1 am), 30+ degree weather and cheap booze, this is already shaping up to be one hell of an event.
