Erratum: Thrill Jockey label focus

Some of you may have noticed that the Barn Owl ‘Ancestral Star’ text in the latest issue of Rock-A-Rolla contains, rather mysteriously, the description of the completely unrelated Electric Orange. Below is the text as it should have read:

Barn Owl  Ancestral Star
“ If you are a late-night beast like myself then you might have found yourself returning home after a show and not able to go right to sleep. Nothing like the television to ease the way into slumber. There are often nature shows on in the wee hours on PBS. I am sure that if you have seen your share of nature shows, then you have seen a time-lapsed film of a flower blooming. Barn Owl are mostly just two guitars, but of late they have been adding a drummer. He is featured on this album. They create the most elegant elongated guitar tones. They build layers with these tones and the sounds shape-shift before your ears. What starts off simple enough often blooms into an orchestrated wall of sound. It can be as haunting and otherworldly as a Gregorian chant and as dark as some doom-drone. Put on your headphones and turn any trip into a film.”

All responsible parties have been summarily punished.

Don’t forget to download the exclusive Thrill Jockey comp – it’s free! See the inside of the latest issue for details.
