The eternally unpredictable Melvins have completed two brand new releases that will see the light of day in the coming months: an EP-sized offering The Bulls & The Bees, and a brand new album, Freak Puke.

Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees is a five-song collection that marks the band’s first original material since their 2010 album The Bride Screamed Murder, and will be available as a free download on March 13 via Scion A/V’s Facebook page. In an atypical corporate association move, Melvins have teamed up with Scion A/V, a creative enterprise of Toyota’s Scion “devoted to the discovery, nurture, funding and distribution of compelling music and arts programming,” for the EP and upcoming US tour, with Osborne describing Scion A/V Presents: The Bulls & The Bees as “amazing in its noisy calm intensity.”

Freak Puke, meanwhile, sees The Melvins returning to their trio formation with a brand new collection from King Buzzo, Dale Crover, and Trevor Dunn, collectively known as ‘Melvins Lite’.  Freak Puke hits the stores via Ipecac on June 5^th.
